Orange Loaf

Recipe via Co Comin Muffins & More

Put into a mixing bowl and beat together:
     1/2 cup butter
     1 cup sugar
     1 egg

Beat in:
     second egg

Stir in:
     grated rind from 1 orange
     1/2 cup juice from  orange plus water if needed

In another bowl put:
     2 cups flour
     2 tsp baking powder
     1/2 tsp salt
     1/2 cup chopped nuts

Stir well and pour in creamed mixture
Stir until moistend
Turn into greased loaf pan or mini bread pans
Bake @ 350* for 1 hour
Test with toothpick
Pour glaze over top
Let stand 10 minutes before removing loaf to rack to cool
Wrap to store
Yield: 1 loaf

Glaze:
Combine in saucepan:
     Juice from 1 orange
     1/4 cup sugar

Heat and stir to dissolve sugar
Spoon over hot loaf
