Cheese Cubes

Recipe via Joyce
Appetizer For Your Holiday Season:

Loaf of unsliced white bread 1
Butter or margarine 1/2 cup
Grated sharp cheddar 1 cup
Cream cheese 4 oz.
Egg whites, beaten stiff 2

Cut crusts from bread loaf.(Bread doesn't squish down as much if it is partially frozen before slicing and removing crusts) Cut into 1 inch cubes.
Freeze these cubes as they are easier to dip when frozen.
Put butter, cheddar and cream cheese into top of double boiler. Melt stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Fold beaten egg whites into cheese mixture. Using a fork dip bread cubes into cheese mixture to coat on all sides.
Place on ungreased baking sheet. Chill in fridge overnight. Bake at 400 for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Serve!
You may also freeze these ahead of time in ice cream bucket, thawing before baking. Makes about 3 ½ doz ~ ½ ice cream bucket

Enjoy!!!
