Recipe via Nelda Walburger
1 cup butter or margarine (15 – 30 sec in microwave to soften)
1½ cups instant oatmeal
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup flour
½ tsp baking soda
Mix and press into 9 X 12 pan
Bake 10 minutes @ 400* or 3 – 4 minutes in microwave ~ (if glass pan rotate once)
Topping:
1 cup butterscotch chips
2 TBSP butter/margarine
½ cup corn syrup
2 cups chopped walnuts
Put butterscotch chips, butter and; syrup into small container ~ microwave 1 – 2 minutes until chips melt
Sprinkle nuts on baked base
Pour hot mixture over nuts
Cool and cut
